Q. Why would I want a keyboard for my iPad™?

A. The iPad is a fabulous multimedia device, but “touch” typing is just not possible on a touch screen. The Solid Line keyboard makes it easy to take notes, send emails, and type in URLs.

Q. How can I tell when my keyboard needs to be charged?

A. The “charge light” will turn on when your Solid Line keyboard needs to be charged.

Q. How is this keyboard different from the iPad™ Keyboard Dock?

A. First, the iPad™ keyboard isn’t portable and you need the iPad Dock to make it work! Solid Line’s Bluetooth® keyboard, on the other hand, is so portable that it’s literally part of the leather case you’ll use to protect your iPad! Second, because the Solid Line keyboard doesn’t need the iPad Dock to work, you can keep that 30-pin connector on your iPad for other devices.

Q. How long does it take to set it up to work with my iPad?

A. No more than a minute or two. You simply turn on the keyboard, click Settings on your iPad, then Bluetooth, and follow the prompts to pair the two. It’s that simple.

Q. How long will I be able to use my Solid Line keyboard when it’s fully charged?

A. The Solid Line keyboard provides 90 hours of continuous use when fully charged, so unless you’re typing 24 hours a day, a fully charged battery should last you several weeks. It takes 4 – 4.5 hours to fully charge the built-in lithium battery.

Q. What are the dimensions of the case if you’ve got the keyboard built-in?

A. With the iPad in the case, the dimensions are 9.75” tall, 8” wide, and 1” thick.

Q. How much does the case weigh?

A. The keyboard and case weighs 1.6 lbs.

Q. I have other Bluetooth® devices. Won’t the keyboard be confused as to which device it’s connected to?

A. No. Bluetooth products must be paired before they can work together.

Q. What type of battery is built into your case and does it come with the AC adapter for recharging?

A. The RightShift has a built-in lithium battery. It also comes with a USB – micro-USB cable that connects to the iPad charger.


ONE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY ON THE KEYBOARD


Solid Line Products warrants the RightShift™ Bluetooth® keyboard to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase by the original purchaser. If a defect exists, Solid Line Products will, at its option, repair or replace the keyboard. This Limited Warranty excludes problems that arise as a result of improper maintenance, modification, misuse, and usage not in accordance with product instructions or any other causes that are not defects in materials and workmanship.
If we replace or repair the keyboard during the warranty period, the replacement keyboard will assume the remaining warranty of the original product or 90 days, whichever is longer.
A request for warranty service must be requested from Solid Line’s Customer Service Department during the limited warranty period. If limited warranty service is required, Solid Line will issue a Return Merchandise Authorization Number. The Product must be shipped back to Solid Line in its original or equivalent packaging; shipping charges must be prepaid. Solid Line will ship the repaired or replacement product freight prepaid to U.S. continental addresses. Shipments to other locations will be made freight collect.


WHAT IS NOT COVERED UNDER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY

  • Cosmetic damage due to normal wear and tear.
  • Damage due to accidents, misuse, physical force, improper installation or operation, mishandling,neglect, fire, heat, water, humidity, liquids, or other intrusion.
  • Products that have been repaired, altered or modified by anyone other than Solid Line Products or its authorized service representatives.
  • Products purchased, shipped from, used or serviced outside the United States.
